Cheryl Hines
Cheryl Ruth Hines was born on September 21 1965 in Miami Beach, Florida, to Rosemary (Graham) and James Hines, and was raised in Tallahassee, Florida. She went to West Virginia University as well as Florida State University before graduating from University of Central Florida. Then, when she relocated away from Los Angeles to the Groundlings Theater and studied comedy there where she really felt that she understood the concept of humor. Lisa Kudrow was her first tutor. She learned to improvise and make comedy sketches. Experience gained from this prepared her for the role of Larry David's wife on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). The dialogue on the situation comedy is improvised, so she is at ease. It is the Groundlings Theater is the place where she can perform when her schedule is available.
