Sometimes a glittering career hides some of the darkest tales. Lolo jones, the champion of the USA and World hurdles, has earned this title after a long period working hard and a lot of patience. Born to a single mother with five children, Jones had a difficult and impoverished growing up. Jones' mother moved constantly and stayed for a while in the church basement. Jones had to be moved to another school every during her high school years because of this nomadic existence. Jones was kept apart from her parents at Theodore Roosevelt in order to compete in track and field events. She lived with four different families during her time in high school to study all in the same place. Jones also performed as a cellist for the school orchestra. In high school, she won the Gatorade Athlete of the Year Award for Iowa Track and Field. Jones made it to the top of the college's top hurdlers when she entered. Jones was the winner of the 100 meter hurdles at the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship. Also, she participated on the team that finished second in the 100-meters relay. In 2003 and 2004 Jones was the winner of the indoor hurdles event during the NCAA Championship. Jones, after completing her studies in 2005, began to put in the effort for track. In 2005, she was the winner of Torino Memorial race. Torino Memorial race, in 2006 she was one of the Heusden and Ostrava athletes.
Brandt relocated to Auckland, New Zealand from Cape Town South Africa in late the adolescent years. Brandt was discovered in Auckland by casting directors, and was offered the role of Naevia on the Starz hit show Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Produced by Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi she captivated audiences through her performances and became an one of the series' biggest actors. Mazikeen is a DC Comics/Vertigo character that she portrayed in the hit Netflix program Lucifer. The series lasted more than six years. Forbes named Lucifer as the most watched show of 2021. Brandt will next appear opposite Andrew Lincoln, Danai Guarira along with other Walking Dead cast members in the six-episode Walking Dead spinoff that airs in 2020. Also, she stars with Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan Chris Meloni and Chris Meloni as Captain Fall in a mature animated feature which will premiere on Netflix on July 20, 2023. Lesley-Ann Brandt is an South African actress who was born in Cape Town on the 2nd of December 1981. She is a New Zealand actress with a great potential. Lesley Brandt, along with the rest of her family, relocated to Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. The year 1999, in Auckland Brandt began her career as a Retailer, then got elevated to the position of IT Manager. Lesley has performed in numerous commercial ads after several modelling projects. In 2008 she graduated from her studies and enrolled in Meisner method of study. The first time she was seen with New Zealand was as a TV actor in Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt is a supporting character on New Zealand television drama Shortland Street. In a subsequent sci-fi adaptation This Is Not My Life she played the town of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast as Naevia the young hostage and is later featured as a character in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniature-series of the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand.
