Some of the worst stories are hidden beneath the glamor of a career. Lolo Jones, champion of the USA and World hurdle championships has achieved the status he has achieved after years working hard and a lot of patience. Jones was raised with a poor and difficult life as the child of an unwed mother who had five other children. Her mother was constantly moving and stayed for a while in the church basement. Jones' nomadic lifestyle forced her to change school every year up to she reached high school. Jones moved away from her mother to Theodore Roosevelt in order for her to pursue her passion for track. Jones lived with four different families in order to focus on her studies. Jones received her the Gatorade Iowa Track and Field Award for the Best Athlete in high school. She was an active member of the school orchestra as a cello player. Jones began her athletic career at the college level as one of the best hurdlers. She was the winner of the 100-meter hurdle in 2002 at the NCAA Track & Field Championship. She also was part of the winning team for the 100-meter relay. Jones has won indoor hurdles at NCAA Championships both in 2003 and 2004. The track career after she completed her studies at the end of 2005 Jones was able to begin training to pursue the track. In 2005, she was first in Torino Memorial race. Torino Memorial race, in 2006, she won the Heusden and Ostrava athletes.

Brandt is a child of the Cape Town region. She grew up within Cape Town South Africa with her siblings and parents, immigrated from Cape Town South Africa to Auckland New Zealand when she was in her teens. Brandt was found by casting directors in her native town, and she was offered the part of Naevia in the Starz smash Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Produced by Steven S. D Knight (Sam Raimi) and Steven S. D Knight (Steven S. D Knight), she became an instant success. Mazikeen was a popular fan favorite DC/Vertigo character from comics as well as the Vertigo/DC series Lucifer was her character on the hit Netflix show. Lucifer went on the break record for binge watching and was named as the best binged show in 2021 by Forbes. Brandt will next appear in the role of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira in the six-episode limited Walking Dead spin-off which airs in 2024. Brandt's other Netflix shows include animated adult comedy Captain Fall starring Jason Ritter, Anthony Carrigan, and Chris Meloni. This will premiere in the month of July 2023. Lesley Ann Brandt was born on December 2, in Cape Town, South African. She's a very talented New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt along with the remainder of her family moved into Auckland New Zealand, in 1999. After just a couple of years being employed in the retail industry her promotion was to the post of an IT consultant. After a few modelling projects, Lesley appeared in many commercials. In 2008, she completed her college and began studying Meisner study methods. Lesley's first major acting gig was with the New Zealand TV series Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt appeared in the New Zealand drama Shortland Street in the role of a guest supporting role. In a later sci-fi arrangement This Is Not My Life she played the city of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia who was a teen hostage, and was later featured in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
