The most glamorous of careers often hide the most piteous stories underneath. Lolo Jones, who was the winner of the USA and the World Champion in the event of a hurdle in 2013, reached this position because of a lot dedication and perseverance. A single mother and a five children, Jones had a difficult and impoverished growing up. The mother of her children was always on the move, and had even lived in a basement church for a brief duration. A life of constant movement forced Jones to change schools and attend the same school each year until the time she entered in high school. Jones left her mother and moved to Theodore Roosevelt to allow her to focus on the track she was interested in. The family she lived with was diverse throughout high school, so that she was able to concentrate on her academics. Jones is a cellist of the school's orchestra as well as recipient of Gatorade state track and field player of the year award was awarded the Gatorade Iowa Athlete award at the end of high school. In the first year of college, Jones proved to be one of the greatest hurdlers. She was the winner of the 100-meter hurdles during the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship. In addition, she was one of the runners-up team for the 100-meter relay event. Jones is a champion of indoor hurdles at the NCAA Championships both in 2003 and 2004. Jones' track career started with the year 2005, after she finished her education. She started training to build a successful track career. This year, she was the winner of the Torino Memorial Event, while in 2026, she won the Ostrava Track event as well as Heusden.

Raised at home in Cape Town South Africa Brandt moved with her family to Auckland New Zealand in her teenage years. Discovered by local casting directors Brandt was cast in the role of Naevia for the Starz hit series Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. She was among the stars who made an impact on the show, collaborating with Steven S. D Knight & Sam Raimi. Lesley Ann Brandt is a South African actress who was born in Cape town on 2nd of December in 1981. She is a highly skilled New Zealand actor. Lesley Brandt and her family relocated to New Zealand in Auckland. Zealand in the year 1999. In Auckland she began working as a retailer, only to be promoted to IT manager consultant. Following a couple of modeling projects, Lesley appeared in countless commercials. She completed her acting major in 2008 and continued to research Meisner's techniques. Lesley Brandt was cast in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia who was a hostage in the midst of her youth and was later featured as a hostage in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
